Industrial Security

Just as no two organizations are the same, and therefore have to defend against unique threats in different scenarios, no two Industries are the same either. Each have their own critical necessities and need to be approached with specified priorities.

Below are a few of the industries that we have had the opportunity to work within:

Communications Security

The communications industry is often considered a subset of Critical Infrastructure. However our modern communications platforms are complex and varied environments. From mobile networks pushing the limitations of 4G and beyond, to Internet Service Providers experimenting with and deploying Fiber Optic networks, to our rural landline networks struggling to stay abreast of last year’s vulnerability disclosures. There are purpose-built systems in play that are not seen in any other industry, and often they are not constructed with security as a priority. Despite these variences, our communications networks are critical to the way that we communicate today, and the assessors at Digital Integrity® are not strangers to this technology. Let our experienced team help ensure security maturity in your network infrastructure.

Critical Infrastructure Security

There are 16 sectors covering the critical infrastructure domain within the United States. The scope, extent, and reliance across the domain is something the team at Digital Integrity® fully understands. We provide critical thinking across all of the safety and security issues within each one, and critically within the interconnects many of them rely upon for ongoing functionality. We consider it a crucial part of the organization and are committed to working within this domain both directly and with supporting efforts within the state, federal, local, and national government and military teams.

E-Commerce Security

It is well understood security must be a function of a successful ecommerce initiative. Despite this, it is not always a well-executed or well-designed solution that accompanies the eventual launch into this market. The Digital Integrity® team has managed projects where balancing the needs of the business and the security and risks across the enterprise are tested and negotiated to a point where all parties understand the common goals and accept the risks. Our approach stands in good stead because it is a well-designed, secure, and successful platform with an orchestrated set of policies, procedures, and controls that adhere to a maturity model embraced company wide.

Financial Security

Given the financial industry is still a readily executable target for the criminal elements, the addition of mobile banking, FinTech and other human and technology challenges (the complexity and lack of consistency of InfoSec solutions), it is no wonder the team at Digital Integrity® is continually engaged within this sector. Our experience and expertise in helping clients navigate the human, technical, and fiduciary controls within the industry allow us to be a trusted partner and to shed light on the chaos.

Healthcare Security

Safety and security in the healthcare arena is still a growing concern. Across the board from physical, electronic, legacy, current, and future technologies, the team at Digital Integrity® is expending efforts with our clients to help them balance the needs of their facilities with the operational concerns around security. The extensive knowledge we have spanning legacy, current, and the potential future technologies in the bio and nanotechnology fields help us position solutions that are adaptive and flexible to your needs.

High Tech Security

The high-tech industry is often one of the first to be attacked due to the value of the information and higher-than-normal risk appetite, which unfortunately leads to vulnerabilities not always present in other sectors. The cutting-edge nature combined with open environments and technologically savvy teams does not always translate to a well-managed, safe, and secure environment. The Digital Integrity® team recognizes this and has worked with many clients in building comprehensive, yet flexible, solutions which were successfully deployed, seamlessly integrated, and matured over a number of years to provide a secure workplace.

Retail Security

Retailers are challenged today with a requirement to dramatically increase investment in supply chains and IT technology to create compelling unified commerce experiences for consumers. Connected commerce is transforming the face of retail by incorporating AI; visual search; augmented reality; predictive experiences; and personalized, curated subscriptions. Consumers, spoiled by experiences with Amazon online retailing, want ever more demanding flexibility in buying and fulfillment models: buy any way, fulfill from anywhere, ship to store, ship to home, ship from store, pickup from locker, direct vendor ship—the variations seem to increase daily. Mobile devices are now human extensions, with near constant touch points between retailers and consumers. Smart IoT (Internet of Things) devices are becoming entrusted to place orders, creating a new type of buyer. Precision advertising delivered to consumers relies on multiple technologies that must be coordinated in near real time. Because all of these developments involve multiple software components and applications—often hardware, often middle ware integration technology, perimeter network devices, and internet connectivity—a massively expanded attack surface has been created for cyber-criminals. Digital Integrity® assessors have operated within these environments in strategic roles for years, and is ready to apply the knowledge gained to aide your organization.

Transportation Security

With the ever-increasing potential of connected vehicles and other advanced technologies across cities, communication networks, and other architectures, the team at Digital Integrity® understands safety and security have to be a top priority. Systems, devices, components, and communications must be protected from malicious attacks, unauthorized access, damage, or disruptions.
